This is an organizational post primarily to the Philippine Frontline Ministries. All are welcome to read and participate. But please note that I do not normally use this blog in solicitations.

God may be good "all the time," as we like to say. But in truth, He is "gooder" in the worst of times. It is in the darkness we need light the most. It is in the troubled seas that we feel so small and helpless, and recognize our desperate need and dependency on God. It is then we need Him to show up, to bring light or calm the storm. If God is great all the time, He is greater in times of distress.
In this time of despair, with one of our church families suffering the untimely loss of their son Limuel, I pray that we allow God to be greater for our dear friends. That in this time of unforeseen trouble, we will see the opportunities that exist for God to be magnified. The opportunity for this to be not only a bad incident, but a time for doing good, and being the people the Lord Jesus wants us to be.
I believe this means to step up, to lift up, to hold up, and to bind up each others wounds. To encourage, to bless, and to be a strong defense to our friends. To not just say we love Ver and Joji, but to show it in how we support, how we serve, how we defend them... and in how we give. Let this be a time for FWC and the Frontline family to glorify Christ in being the people of God in word and action.
We are committed to helping Ver and Joji move on, and part of this "moving on" includes helping them move to a different house. They need financial help to do this. I pray we can all step up and support the Mercado family in many ways, but also through our generosity.
